Ronnie was one of the warmest, prideful, most genuine waitresses I've interviewed. She worked in famous supper clubs and received 3 Silver Dollar Awards for her waitressing skills.

...starting out...
Well when started waitressing at Friendly's, I was in my late 30's. It was a good job because it was mother's hours and I could always go home and be with my children. I have brought up 3 grandchildren and they all went to private school -- on the salary of a waitress.

...waitressing...
I love people. It's an interesting and satisfying profession. When I worked at the Almaraco in Worcester, MA, I had the most wonderful customers. I've waited on Tony Bennett, Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli and Frankie Vincent from the Sopranos...I don't think I'd ever be happy sitting behind a desk not dealing with anyone.

...on success...
I've accomplished a lot. And maybe not money wise to some people, but I've accomplished a lot of things that mean something to me anyway. To someone else it's a whole different ballgame. If you want the new house, the new car and the diamonds then no, I haven't succeeded. But I can turn around and say that I've brought up 3 beautiful children and then 3 beautiful grandchildren -- and they're all great. That's my wealth.
